Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the SUMMER 2026 campaign

Registration and Dates

When do registrations for SUMMER 2026 open?
The process starts in May. Club members have a priority period (from April 20 to 29 for Multisport). For the general public, the usual schedule is: online pre-registration at donostia.eus from May 4 to 7, draw on May 8, and payment for spots from May 11 to 14.
Do I need to be a Club member to register?
No, summer activities are open to both members and non-members (general public). However, members enjoy a priority registration period and reduced rates for Multisport.
How do I know if there are free spots left after the draw?
From May 15, vacant spots are published on the donostia.eus website. Open registrations for these spots usually start on May 25 at 09:00.
How long do the courses last?
Most courses are weekly (Monday to Friday), although some may last for a fortnight (two weeks).

Activities and Levels

From what age can children register?
We have activities for almost all ages. Tennis and swimming start from 4 years old, while sea activities like kayaking or paddle surfing usually require a minimum age of 9 or 13 depending on intensity. There are specific sea activities for the little ones, starting from 5 years old.
What does "Children's Multisport" include?
It is our flagship activity for children aged 4 to 16. It includes tennis, padel, swimming, water games (depending on age), cooking workshops, or crafts, depending on the age group.
Are there courses for adults?
Yes, we offer a wide range of tennis, padel, and sea/pool activities (swimming) specifically designed for adults, with schedules adapted for before or after the workday.
My child has never played tennis, can they register?
Of course! Most groups are beginner level. If you want them to play at a higher level, please ask us.

Logistics and Equipment

What sports equipment should I bring?
For tennis and padel, you must bring your own racket/pala and sportswear. For water activities: swimsuit, towel, flip-flops or water shoes, lycra shirt (mandatory for those over 9 years old) and sunscreen. A swimming cap for pool activities.
Does the Club rent rackets or palas if we don't have any?
We have an equipment rental service for beginners who do not yet have their own gear, although we always recommend bringing your own for greater comfort.
What happens if it rains?
We have covered tennis and padel courts, so racket activities are not canceled due to rain. Sea activities are evaluated based on wave conditions and safety.
Is there a cafeteria or childcare service?
No, we do not offer extended hours or a lunch/snack service.

Prices and Cancellations

What is the average price for a one-week course?
For 2026, the rates for sea activities (like paddle surf or kayak) are around €115 for a regular week, while General Multisport costs approximately €195 per week.
Are there discounts for families?
No, we do not apply discounts for siblings or large families.
What happens if there is a public holiday?
There are no classes on public holidays. The price of the course for that week is automatically adjusted (e.g., it drops from €115 to €89 if the week includes a holiday).
Can I cancel a registration and get a refund?
Cancellations are subject to the Club's Sales and Cancellation Policy. Generally, a minimum of 21 days' notice is required and a refund may not be granted.

Safety and Languages

In what languages are the courses taught?
Most of our courses are offered in Basque and Spanish. In some sea activities, we also have English-speaking instructors, or the course is taught directly in English.
Is it safe for children to do activities in the sea?
Absolutely. All our nautical activities have certified instructors, life jackets are mandatory, and they take place in the La Concha / Ondarreta Bay under strict safety protocols.
Where exactly do the activities take place?
Most take place at the facilities of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián (Ondarreta) and the nautical activities center on the Urumea River. Some activities may be redirected to the technical courts of the EHU (University of the Basque Country).
