Frequently Asked Questions

How long exactly is a private padel lesson in Donostia - San Sebastián?
The standard and strict duration for all our private padel lessons is 60 minutes. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to warm up off the court and make the most of your training time.
From what age can one start taking private padel lessons?
Private padel lessons are open to anyone aged 6 and up. Our coaches adapt the methodology to all ages, from playful initiation for the little ones to technical and tactical refinement for adults.
What level of padel or fitness is required to start private lessons?
No prior level is required. Being private lessons, the training is 100% tailored to you. Whether you have never stepped onto a glass court or you are a high-level player looking to tune up your shots, we adapt to you.
How do they evaluate my level during my first padel session?
If it is your first time at the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián, your coach will dedicate the first 5-10 minutes of the session to a diagnostic hitting session to evaluate your base technique, court positioning, and ball handling, designing the rest of the lesson based on what is observed.
Can I choose or request my preferred padel coach?
Yes, you can request a specific coach. However, the final assignment will be subject to the requested professional's schedule and the availability of our padel courts.
Are private lessons given on public holidays?
The availability of private lessons on public holidays will depend exclusively on the official opening calendar of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián. We suggest checking in advance via our online booking system.
What must I bring on the day of my private padel lesson?
We only ask that you come in sportswear that allows for mobility and comfort on the court. Optionally, it is highly recommended to bring a small hand towel and, for mid-day hours, to apply sunscreen beforehand.
What type of sports footwear is suitable for playing?
It is essential to use sports shoes, preferably specific to padel (herringbone sole or mixed sole). The use of casual shoes or cleats that could damage the club's artificial grass courts is strictly prohibited.
Do I need to buy my own racket before the first lesson?
It is not mandatory. If you are in the initiation phase or do not have your own racket at the moment, the coach will lend you one at no additional cost during your private lesson.
Are padel balls included in the service?
Of course. The club and our coaches will provide a full basket of high-quality padel balls for proper training development, whether you come alone or in a small group.
Is there access to locker rooms, lockers, and showers after the session?
Yes, by booking a private padel lesson, you automatically acquire the right to use the Club's excellent facilities. This includes access to our equipped locker rooms, hot showers, and a secure space to leave your belongings.
What is the deadline to book my private lesson online?
For logistical reasons regarding court and coach assignment, the online booking system is mandatorily closed at 23:59, 3 days before the scheduled date of your lesson. We advise planning your training week in advance.
What happens if I give short notice that I cannot attend?
Cancellations requested less than 24 hours before the start of the session imply the loss of the right to refund or rescheduling, with 100% of the rate charged for "no-show" or late cancellation.
Am I entitled to a refund if I cancel with days of notice?
Yes. As long as the cancellation request is processed and notified with a margin of more than 24 hours before the lesson, you can request rescheduling or a refund without additional charges for your private lessons.
Can I book a padel lesson for a friend or family member?
You can book in a third party's name without a problem. However, remember that the account holder who formalizes and pays for the booking will be the primary person responsible for ensuring that the player complies with all Club rules and terms.
What policy applies if it rains heavily in Donostia - San Sebastián?
If weather conditions make it completely impossible to safely practice padel on our outdoor courts (due to heavy rain or other inclement weather), the Club will contact you to offer rescheduling or a full refund.
Where can I see updated prices for padel lessons?
Padel private lesson rates are unified. You can review the rate card above on this page to see the exact prices applicable based on the number of people, or access your member area to see exclusive benefits.
Does the cost per person decrease if we take the lesson in a group?
Exactly. Our system is designed to encourage sports in company. The individual rate progressively drops if you decide to book a private padel lesson for two (2 people) or by creating your own closed group of 3 or up to 4 players.
Can I buy a package of lessons in advance?
Purchasing Private Lesson Packages (Bonos) for padel is a privilege reserved exclusively for members of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián. If you are not a member, payment will be made session-by-session through the web platform.
If I am a member and buy a padel package, when does it expire?
Exclusive lesson packages for members are strictly personal and non-transferable, and expire on December 31st of the calendar year in which they were purchased.
