How it works

Starting point

Itsas Eskola (Sea School): We will wait for you at our meeting point in the Sea School 10-15 minutes before your reservation time.

What to bring: Swimsuit, sunscreen, glasses strap, and a towel.

Rentals and scheduled activities reservations

To confirm the reservation, 100% of the total amount must be paid. Until payment is made, the reservation is not considered confirmed or valid.

Custom activities reservations

To reserve the activity, 100% of the total amount must be paid. Until payment is made, the reservation is not considered confirmed.

Cancellations of rentals and activities

Customers can cancel the requested services and are entitled to a refund. Cancellations are permitted up to 48 hours before the start of the activity. Up to two hours before the start, it is possible to reschedule. If there are fewer than 2 hours left before the activity starts, cancelling or rescheduling is not possible, and 100% of the paid amount will be lost.

Cancellations of custom activities

If the number of participants is modified 72h before, the new price will be recalculated. Canceling participants between 72h and 24h beforehand incurs a 50% penalty. In the last 24h, the penalty is 100%. No-shows will result in the loss of the amount paid.

Medical cancellations

In case of cancellation due to a JUSTIFIED medical reason or death (of any degree of kinship), the RCTSS will offer a voucher valid for one calendar year to carry out the activity.

Insurance

The price of activities and rentals includes civil liability and accident insurance. Omitting or providing incorrect participant data will result in the non-subscription of the insurance.

Adverse weather conditions

In case of bad weather conditions or rough seas, the option to make reservations will be blocked. Affected people will have the choice between a full refund or a change of date.

Punctuality and Data Protection

It is essential to arrive 10-15 minutes early. The RCTSS stores your data to manage information according to our privacy policy. You can exercise your rights by writing to rctss@rctss.com.

1. Where exactly does the double kayak rental take place?
The activity starts at the Itsas Eskola (Sea School) of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián, located right in the bay, giving you direct and comfortable access to the water.
2. What exactly does the double kayak rental include at the Itsas Eskola?
The rental includes a top-quality double kayak, two ergonomic paddles, life jackets for each participant, mandatory insurance, and a storage locker service at the facility.
3. How many people can fit in a double kayak?
The main capacity is for 2 adults. However, our double kayaks have a design that allows a minor (between 6 and 9 years old) to be included in the central space, allowing a maximum of 3 occupants under this condition.
4. Is it mandatory to know how to swim to rent the kayak?
Yes. For the safety of all participants, knowing how to swim is an absolute and non-negotiable requirement to take part in any water activity at our facilities.
5. What is the minimum age to participate or rent the double kayak?
The minimum age to board (always accompanied by a responsible adult) is 6 years old. To rent and navigate independently (without adults), the minimum age is 16 years, always requiring signed authorization from a legal guardian.
6. What happens if sea conditions are bad?
Your safety is our priority. If the sea or weather is not suitable for sailing that day, the system will block departures, and affected users will be offered the chance to postpone the activity or receive a full refund.
7. Where can I leave my belongings while I paddle?
You will have access to a storage space in the Itsas Eskola to keep your clothes, backpacks, and valuables while the activity lasts. We also recommend not leaving items of high economic value.
8. What clothing do you recommend for the double kayak?
We recommend wearing a comfortable swimsuit, applying sunscreen, bringing a towel for the end, and if you wear glasses, it is highly recommended to use a strap to secure them and prevent losing them in the water. A lycra shirt can also protect you from the sun (optional).
9. How long is the rental?
We have three main rental slots to fit your plans: 1.5 hours (90 minutes), a full 2 hours, or an extended block of 4 hours.
10. How does the online booking closure work?
During the summer season (June 1st to September 30th), online bookings automatically close 2 hours before the start of the activity. The rest of the year, they close at 23:59 the day before.
11. How early should I arrive at the Itsas Eskola?
To ensure you have enough time to get the equipment, leave your things in the lockers, and listen to the instructor's guidelines, we ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes before your reservation time.
12. Do I get a discount if I am a member of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián?
Yes! Members of the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián enjoy special reduced rates across all time slots (90 min, 2h, and 4h). To verify their status, members must book in person or by phone at 667636296. The member discount applies to the member only, not to non-member companions.
