Ondarreta Beach (right on the sand): We will wait for you at our meeting point 10-15 minutes before your reservation time.

Reservations for rentals and scheduled activities

To formalize the reservation, the full amount (100%) must be paid. Until this payment is made, the reservation will not be considered confirmed or valid.

To formalize the booking of the activity, it is essential to pay the total amount (100%). Without this payment, the reservation will not be valid and will not be confirmed.

Cancellations for medical reasons

In case of cancellation for justified medical reasons or death (of any degree of kinship), the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián will offer a voucher valid for one calendar year to carry out the contracted activity. If cancellation is chosen, the described conditions will apply.

Insurance

Prices include civil liability and accident insurance. It is mandatory to correctly and completely fill out each field regarding the participants in the reservation. Omission or incorrectness will result in the non-subscription of the accident insurance.

Cancellation of rentals and scheduled activities

If the cancellation is made between 72 and 24 hours before the start, a 50% penalty will apply. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the non-refund of the amount paid. Failure to show up will result in the loss of 100% of the amount paid.

Cancellation of customized activities

The cancellation of one or more participants between 72 and 24 hours before the start entails a penalty of 50% of the proportional part. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a 100% penalty of the proportional part.

Adverse weather conditions

In the event of adverse weather conditions or rough seas, the ability to make reservations will be blocked. People affected by cancellations will be offered the option of a refund or a date change.

Punctuality and Data Protection

The activity takes place right on Ondarreta beach. The meeting point and direct access to the sea are located in the summer area situated on the sand.
2. What exactly is included in the family kayak rental?
The rental includes the family boat (for 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 children), ergonomic paddles, wetsuits, and certified life jackets for all occupants.
3. Can we paddle together to Santa Clara Island?
Of course. From our location in Ondarreta, paddling as a family to the iconic island is a very accessible route. Remember that in summer you cannot land directly on the island with the kayak; you must tie off at the buoy and swim a short distance.
4. Do I need to be a club member to rent a kayak?
It is not necessary. Our doors are open to all visitors, tourists, and residents who wish to enjoy a nautical experience with family or friends.
5. Do we need previous experience to navigate the multi-person kayak?
It is not essential. Our 2+2 family kayaks are self-bailing, wide, and extremely stable models, perfect for sharing among people of different skill levels.
6. What is the minimum age to get on a family kayak?
The minimum age to get on a kayak is 6 years old, and up to 16 years old they must always be supervised by a responsible adult in the same boat. Minors aged 16 to 17 require the signature of a legal adult to make the rental.
7. Is it mandatory for all occupants to know how to swim?
Yes. For your safety, it is an essential requirement that all occupants of the kayak know how to swim unassisted.
8. What happens if the sea conditions in the bay are adverse?
Your safety is our priority. If the sea is not suitable for sailing that day, you will be offered the possibility to postpone the activity or receive a refund.
9. Where can we leave our personal belongings while sailing?
You will have a storage service to keep your clothes and valuables safe while the family activity lasts.
10. Is the use of showers and changing rooms included in the price?
Since this is an activity located on the beach itself, we recommend using the outdoor beach showers or the Ondarreta municipal changing rooms.
11. Do you offer waterproof cases for mobile phones?
We do not provide waterproof phone cases, but we do offer a rental service for waterproof dry bags, ideal for keeping your belongings dry during your shared journey.
12. What are the available rental durations?
We have fixed rates for different time slots; you can rent the family kayak for 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, or 240 minutes (half-day).
13. Is it necessary to book the kayak in advance?
Yes, we highly recommend booking in advance through our website to guarantee availability, especially for family kayaks which are in high demand.
14. How early should we arrive at the facilities?
We ask that the entire group arrive 10-15 minutes before your reservation time at the meeting point on the sand.
15. Is it possible to modify or cancel my reservation time?
Yes, the rental can be canceled within the timeframes established in our conditions (50% penalty between 72 and 24 hours before, and 100% penalty with less than 24 hours' notice).
16. Is there a surcharge for returning the boat late?
Strict punctuality is required so as not to affect the groups booked after you. Significant delays in returning the equipment may result in a financial penalty.
17. Are pets allowed inside the family kayaks?
Currently, it is not allowed to navigate with animals in our boats. In addition, we remind you that during the summer season, accessing the beach with dogs is not permitted by municipal regulations.
