Frequently Asked Questions

Is it mandatory to know how to swim to take Kayak or SUP lessons?
Yes, it is a strict and essential requirement to be able to carry out any water activity at the Sea School for safety reasons.
From what age can I book a private lesson?
The minimum age required for private Kayak or Stand Up Paddle lessons is 10 years old. In addition, minors between 16 and 17 years old will need the signature of a responsible adult or legal guardian.
How long is the lesson in the water?
The duration of the guided session with the instructor is exactly 1 hour (60 minutes). We advise you to arrive a little early so you can change and prepare the equipment.
What technical equipment does the Sea School provide?
We take care of all the technical equipment: we will provide you with the Kayak or SUP board, paddle, life jacket, and, if the water temperature requires it, a wetsuit and a leash.
What do I need to bring from home?
You only need to bring your own swimsuit and sunscreen. If you use prescription glasses or sunglasses, it is highly recommended to bring a strap to secure them. A towel is optional, but recommended for using the outdoor showers.
Where can I leave my belongings while paddling?
Your lesson rate includes the right to use our locker space to store your personal belongings safely, plus access to the outdoor shower at the end.
How do I organize the schedule in winter or low season?
Outside the summer season (low season), private lessons are sold without a specific time reservation on the platform. Once the session is purchased, you must contact us by sending a WhatsApp message to 667 636 296 to schedule and confirm the exact time of the lesson.
When do online bookings close?
During the high season (June 1 to September 30), you can book up to 2 hours before the lesson. The rest of the year (October 1 to May 31), the system is locked at 11:59 PM the day before the reservation.
What happens if there is rough sea or bad weather?
If weather conditions are adverse and prevent the safe development of the activity, the Sea School will cancel the session and you will have the option to reschedule for another day or request a full refund.
Do I lose my lesson if I cancel at the last minute?
Cancellations requested with less than 24 hours notice involve a 100% charge for the lesson. If you notify us with more than 24 hours' notice, you can reschedule or request a refund of your rate without any problems.
Is it cheaper to take a lesson with friends or a partner?
Yes. We have designed the pricing system so that the individual price per person is progressively reduced if you form your own closed group, either in a double lesson format, or in groups of 3 or 4 people.
Can I buy a water lessons package if I am not a Club member?
Yes! Unlike other sports sections, in the water activities of the Sea School, absolutely anyone (member or non-member) can purchase and benefit from the reduced rates of the 5 or 10-lesson Packages.
What is the expiration date of the 5 and 10-lesson packages?
All private lesson packages are personal and non-transferable, and their deadline for use and expiration is December 31 of the calendar year in which they were purchased.
